Snickerdoodles

Ho-lee Snockerdoodles!!!!!! Has it really been 3 months since I last posted here??? Damn, but time flies and flies like fruit so...

Well, not too much has happened, but enough to make things just the right speed to keep life interesting. My wife finally returned from our daughter's apartment on the 3rd of December, so that was a definite plus!! Of course, I managed to get my brother-in-law to take the kids for the night and we spent the night in Colorado Springs. Not really all that big of a city, but big enough for our need! Heh.

I even cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving! Yah, me! I cooked it a bit different than my wife does, but it still came out delicious! Freaked me the hell out, that's for sure. But, all things being equal, I managed to screw up the stuffing. Oh, we cook the stuffing separate from the bird, if you're interested. If you're not interested, don't read the previous sentence. The stuffing was pretty hard on the top and sides and bottom, but the middle was, barely, edible.

Thanksgiving sucked in that my wife and sister were not here. My wife was in Tacoma, Washington, and she had a decent Thanksgiving, even though she stayed home for it and spent some time with the baby (at the hospital). The daughter and her hubby(wannnabe) spent the day at his parents house and at the hospital with the baby (who is doing GREAT, btw!!). I didn't really want to brave the highway on that weekend so my sister had Thanksgiving in Denver. I think she went to someones house, so she wasn't totally alone on that day, at least. And, someone tell me how the hell am I supposed to know that my sister LIKES the stuffing hard and crunchy?!?!?!? Dammit.

Well, this is only the first in a line of postings (I hope!). So I will leave it at this, for now.

Still kickin'

Wow. I didn't realize how long it's been since I posted here. Just goes to show that ¨real life" can, and will, take over whenever it can. Oh well.

Let's see... What's been happening?

Well, my wife and I finally closed on the house. Actually, houses, since there is the smaller three room house next to this one. It's being used as a studio for my wife, a computer center for me and a place to store all the nails, hammers, drills, etc., etc. It's working out pretty good, too. I really didn't know how many computers I have. It´s sad, really, is what it is. I have everything from a 086 laptop (runs at 5Mhz) to an 800 Mhz computer. I have 5 laptops and 7 desktops (about half of which aren't worth turning on). Of course that doesn´t include the one that the online school sent for my son. Heh.

Anyway...

Uh...

Oh, yeah, I am now a grandfather. My daughter had a baby boy. The only problem was that she had to have a cesarian at six months. It was either that or lose both of them. Tiny little guummbah. Pretty healthy, though. My wife is there (1500 miles away) with her and they have been doing well. The only problem is that I have difficulty going to sleep at night, without her next to me. At least it won't be too much longer. I hope.

Okay. Other than having a pinched nerve that is killing my left leg and the purchase of the houses, there is not really anything else going on. Gads, my life is pretty boring.

Alright, that's enough for now. I guess I should try to update this more frequently. With my son sitting next to me on his computer and me on my computer, I will probably have loads of time to update this thing.

If I can remember to, that is. Heh.

Still about

Yep, I'm still out and about. though not posting here as much as I used to. Guess that's what happens when "real life" takes precedence over "internet life".

No much has happened since I last posted. Still trying to buy the house we are currently living in. Still home-schooling the kid. Fun, but not fun at the same time. My nephew(adopted) has finished school and we are trying to get him some sort of job.

Heck, I haven't even read any of the blogs that I usually read, for quite some time. Like I said, "real life" trumps this stuff, anytime.

Anywho, I guess I'll leave things at that and get back to chasing my wife around the house. Heh.

Stayin' alive??? Maybe, maybe not, hard to tell...

Holy snockerdoodles, Batman!

Boy oh boy have I let things slide. I can't really believe that it's been so long since I posted here. Damn, it's almost like ICQ - I kinda "left" that a while back and haven't been on it for so long I would have to dig old files out to find my number and all. Sheesh.

I don't know why I haven't posted, I just haven't. No special reason, that I can think of, anyway.

Well, life has still moved on for me. I am still taking my meds, in order to have a mental and physical outlook on life that doesn't suck too badly. Still messing with my computers. Oh, if anyone ever reads this - I can tell you that trying to install Windows XP on a computer which has a bad RAM stick is an experience. One you will not forget in a hurry, that's for sure.

Okay, I'm at a deadend here. Got to stop because the music I am listening to is starting to get to me.

Later.
(I hope.)

Yep

Well, dammit. Just plain old dammit.

I can't believe that it's been so long since I posted here. Hell, it's not like I really have that much of a life that keeps me from posting. It's just one day after another, after all.

Oh. There is something new, after all. My wife has started homeschooling our son and she keeps pretty busy with it. I help a little, but I mostly feel like a turd, sitting there with my face hanging out and all. It's working out pretty good, though. The kid is busting his butt for his mom and he has even zipped through some stuff that comes from the GED book! For those that may not know, GED stands for General Education Diploma and that is what a lot of folks take when they don't "officially" finish High School.

Other than that, I seem to be spending most of my time either helping her with bits and pieces of the homeschool thing or on gmail.com reading e-mail and looking at "news" tidbits.

My wife just asked me if it bothered me that she has friends who want to go have coffee and chat. I have absolutely no problem with that! I enjoy the fact that she has friends and I would trust her to the absolute end. If anything, I get a small twinge of jealousy because I don't have any friends in the local area. She does, since she grew up here, but since my hometown is about a 12 hour drive away, I have yet to make any friends here. It also doesn't help that I am basically a trodlodyte and very much the "homebody" and just enjoy the family experiences.

Okay, I don't have anything else that qualifies to be spoken about, so I will end it here.

Mucho Dinero.

I think I'm still here...

Gads, what a week. Of course, I speak about the last seven days, not the calendar setup. First, I wind up in the Emergency Room on two nights in a row because of pain in my hip. I could just slap the doc, since he walked into the room and he said, "What do you want me to do?" Hell, he's the, supposed, doctor and he wants me to tell him what I want him to do. It took a while, but he finally gave me a shot and some vicodin for the pain. Of course, since I usually take methadone for pain control, the vicodin was like taking an aspirin. The second night was a bit better, since my wife tore him a new asshole and made him actually act like a doctor. He gave me a different shot that worked for about 4 days and now the pain is back. I guess I'll have to go back this evening, since I still haven't heard from the doctor about when I can get in to see her. It really sucks.

Other than that, nothing much has happened since I last posted here. Christmas came and went. I got some really cool tools and I got that "Rotozip" thing for my wife, along with some movies, a tv and a vcr/dvd combo player for the bedroom. She seemed to like it, so who am I to say otherwise? Heh.

Right now, I'm sitting here, doped to the gills and writing this so that I can try to stay awake. I would rather not take a nap, since I know that it would really mess me up, when it comes time for me to really go to bed. It's kinda hard, trying to keep my thoughts in some kind of decent order, so I can write this down without too many typos. Then again, I like my backspace key, so that helps, too.

Damn, I just can't help but to keep saying that I have a boring life. Boring, boring, boring. Playing on the computer, playing with the kids, chatting with my wife. Sad, isn't it?

Well, I think that this is all for now. Maybe something exciting will happen soon and I can really have some justification for posting here. Heh.

It's Saturday

Yah, big horking deal. It would be a much better day if I wasn't hurting so much. It's one of those type pains that when I try to blow my nose if feels like my left leg is going to explode. I think it's sciatica, but I'm not sure. I'll have to bring this up with the doctor when I go in on Monday. It's getting pretty damned old, that's for sure.

Anyway, not much has happened in the last few days. I did manage to get one item on my list of things I am getting my wife for Christmas, though. I think she'll be decently surprised with a tv to put into the bedroom. I still have to get the dvd/vhs player, but that's easy enough to do in the next couple of weeks. No big rush, is my motto. Though I have to admit that that motto has, on occasion, kinda jumped up and took a chunk out of my ass.

I finally got a power supply for my computer and took the old one and put it into my "new" play computer. Actually, I took my "good" play computer and swapped it out for my sister(step) to use. She and computers don't seem to get along too good. I think her energy is so scattered that it affects electronics that she spends time near. I mean, I can sit and surf the web with ease, but when she tries it, blooey, it starts acting up and the computer will even go so far as to reboot on its own. Then again, this is the same woman who stood on top of a computer, to kill a mouse, and squashed the poor thing.

Well, that's enough for today. I'm going to play around with my play computer and see what damage I can cause.

Have fun!
